Friends of CMH is seeking strong and vibrant leaders to join the Friends of CMH Board of Directors. This group provides leadership and direction to Friends of CMH in achieving its mission.

Friends of CMH was established on July 1, 1993, and serves as the gifting arm for Community Memorial Hospital (CMH).

Friends of CMH Mission

Friends of CMH Foundation supports the hospital's goal of improving the health and lives of the communities it serves.

Friends of CMH Board of Directors

The Friends of CMH Board of Directors consists of nine board members, two CMH Board of Directors (the Chair and Finance Chair) and the CMH Administrator. 

Friends of CMH board members are elected to three-year terms annually starting in May, and applicants should live in Bremer, Chickasaw, or Fayette County.

Members of the Friends of CMH Board of Directors find it to be a rewarding opportunity. Some of the responsibilities are:

  • Collaboration with other board members
  • Reviewing monthly budget including transactions and donations
  • Attending meetings on the second Tuesday of every other month (meetings are held in the CMH Board Room from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.)
  • Participating in fundraising events and CMH events
  • Bring ideas and energy to the board
